Hiking trail Back Pelles runda

Link directions/map (Ängebo)

The location of the cabin at that time = yellow circle
Note! Everything was cultivated land then.

Starting point = red circle

Easy terrain.

Orange marked (also orange arrows) and signs.
The route is marked counterclockwise
but you can of course go in the opposite direction as well.

The route goes through an old cultural environment where the land was cultivated
and where houses, barns, small cottages and a forge existed.
Some house foundations remain.

The route starts at Back Pelles about 500 m from the last house in Ängebo
in the direction of Brännås.
You follow the road about 50 m east and enter the ski trail
which you follow west. Before turning off at the ski slope, there are the foundations of Råk Albert's former farms. Unfortunately, there has been logging here recently, so the nature is no longer so beautiful on this stretch. From the yard, where Skidvilan (barbecue area) is also located, you then go down towards the main road, but you can make a detour up the next hill to see the foundations of the drovers' huts that existed when they drove wood from the forests by horse. The route then crosses the road and follows the Flottarleden trail.
A beautiful winding path along Svågan, back to the starting point.

Information boards are located at interesting places.
In addition to the barbecue area at Skidvilan, there is a table with benches at the start and finish,
and a bench at Svågan.

If you want to go for a long walk along Svågan, you can go there and back.

The length of the trail is about 2.6 km

Tip.
Longer walk, start at Ängebo IK clubhouse, hiking center.
Follow Svågaleden to the intersection Flottarleden.
Go over there and take the road to the left onto the ski trail,
and you will soon be on the Back-Pelles run.
On the way back, you can walk through the village back to the start.
Extends the hike by about 3.5 km.
