Hiking trail Flottarleden

Link direction/ map (Ängebo)

Flottarleden is a scenic experience with the opportunity to hike
a reasonably long round, with start and finish in the same place.

The terrain is nice and hilly.
It is possible to start in several places, but we have
invested in a start west of Ängebo and a start at Långmor.

Possibility of parking for any car is available at both starts.
The hike follows Svågaleden on the south side of the river and
a beautiful nature trail on the north side.
Here the last log was floated in 1965 so you can close your eyes and
imagine the hard work that has been along the Weakness.
From Råka, follow the country road for about 400 m and then turn right and follow Svågan for another 1 km.

Then you cross the country road and follow the ski trail
back to Ängebo. The trail is mostly dry
but there are some small areas
where it can be wet in the spring.

In summer, most things have dried up. After about 2.5 km on Svågaleden
you can rest and enjoy a fantastic view down over Svågan.
(The location is below Tallbacken.)

At Långmor, before crossing the bridge to the north side,
there is a table with benches, a nice position for a coffee.
Here is also a little history about Långmorkvarn, floating etc.
When you get out to the country road about 1 km before the finish,
where the Back Pelles Round starts, there is also a table with benches.
Benches are placed in three places along the trail.

If you would like to do a longer tour
there is the possibility of this. Then you start at Svågavallen IP
and follow the Svågaleden from there west, over the beautiful sand ridge.

When you come back to Ängebo again
after walking the round, you can choose to walk through the village
back to Svågavallen, or cross the old bridge
and turn left when you come out on Svågaleden again.
Here you extend the hike by about 3 km.

We wish you a pleasant hike.

The length of the trail is about 10.5 km
