Hiking trail Svågaleden
Svågaleden is a scenic experience with a simple route of approx. 13.5 km.
(Tip: take 2 cars)
The start is at Ängebo IK's clubhouse, hiking center, below Svågagården
where a map with trail information is available
The goal for the entire route is Jubbabron just north of Brännås.
Then Valleden takes over.
Svågaleden can be combined with Flottarleden
and make circular hikes by
walking back and forth on both sides of the river.
See more trails along Svågan.
The terrain is nice and slightly hilly.
A small, narrow winding path along the water in some sections.
Start, walk over the ski and hiking bridge, follow the electric light trail,
or, if it is wet, turn off at the small gravel road on the right after 100 m
to the left until you come out to the main road where there are signs.
Follow the Svågaleden marking and after about 2 km
you will also see the Flottarleden marking.
The trail follows the south side of the river until you reach Långmor.
Here you cross to the north side and pass Björsarvscampen and continue north.
NOTE! The Långmor bridge is in bad condition, and you only cross at your OWN RISK.
Therefore we have made a new route
which continues on the south side of the river for another 2 km.
There you will reach Björsarvsbron and can cross safely.
Unfortunately you will not pass Björsarv Campen.
When you pass Björsarvsbron,
the trail turns off the gravel road on the left. and follows Svågan
and that you go through a cow pasture when you pass Björsarv.
NOTE! Be sure to close the gates.
West of the village of Björnsarv you come out onto the country road,
which you follow for about 200 m, and cross over to the gravel road on the north side.
After a while the path turns off to the left. and you come down to Svågan again.
Follow the north bank until you reach Brännåsdammen.
There you go back to the south side of the river
and follow the ridge all the way to the destination Jubbabron.
The last log was floated in Svågan in 1965.
Many remains remain that you can see here and there along the banks.
Feel free to stop and enjoy the beautiful nature.
In some places there are benches on display and also tables.
Natural seating areas can be found anywhere along the trail.
At Långmor by the bad bridge, there is a table with benches, a nice location for a coffee.
The length of the trail is about 13.5 km
