Hiking trail
Örvallssjön

Link direction/ map (starting point)

Start about 400 m east of Svågagården, at the old kiosk. It is possible to park about 40 m up the hill to the right or down by Svågagården.

The trail follows the same trail as the Gravmyrberget trail the first kilometer. Then it turns off to the left and follows the catch pit system to the west.

The trail then turns north uphill Åsbackarna. You then come out on a gravel road which you follow for about 1 km. You can also go here by car to walk a shorter distance to the lake. about 2.7 km round trip. (See the outdoor map for roads.)

The last part goes through young forest and over a mire. A little wet on the spring side but it is good to take detours. The trail runs between two mirror-shiny, magical ponds so beautiful in the forest. The last bit to the lake, the old trail follows the edge between a mire and a cutting area.

This is how you arrive at Örvallssjön. A small cottage built in 1994 through a tourist project is beautifully situated on a cliff overlooking the lake. It is still in very good condition.

The lake has many small islands and also springs. There is nice fishing water there and you need a fishing license. In the forests around the lake there are some remains of coal miles. However, they are difficult to find now after cutting areas and new forest.

The length of the trail is about 9 km, round trip from Ängebo.
