Connecting trail Hövägen

(Ängebo- Björsarv)

Link directions/map

Hövägen is an old road between Ängebo – Björsarv.
The trail goes north of the villages.
This trail is a connecting trail with many of the valley's hiking trails.
It starts at the same starting point as Gravmyrberget
i.e. 400 m east of Svågagården in Ängebo.

The trail from the start to the Camp in Björsarv measures 8.5 km.
From the trail you can walk to Gravmyrberget, Örvallssjön,
Njupfatet and continue from the camp in Björsarv back to Ängebo by following
Svågaleden- Flottarleden eastwards a round of approx. 17 km.
Trapping pit systems are found at various locations
from Gravmyrberget and all the way west down to the camp.

An interesting day trip (round trip) of about 24 km will be
if you start from the start in Ängebo and hike until you reach Njupfatsleden,
follow this to Njupfatet then back down to the gravel road and continue west on Hövägen and down to the camp.
There you first follow Svågaleden and then Flottarleden back to Ängebo.
Nice coffee places at Njupfatet, Campen, Långmorkvarn and Skidvilan.

(Previously, from Hövägen north of Björsarv you could hike
all the way to Valleden. Now the markings are largely gone
and there are currently no plans to take up this trail again.
It is possible to get to Valleden by following Svågaleden
to Brännås, Jubbabron and then continue Valleden north.)
